I make watercolour paintings of simple architectural forms which drip, bleed, blur and blend together to create a two-dimensional colourful chaos. I am fascinated by the historical relationship between watercolour and architecture, which involved depicting building materials such as tiles, as well as the more current relationship reformed by architectural drawings and sketches. By using architectural forms as motif, my work explores the tensions between pattern and structure, and, order and disorder.
