Hotel Fetch

The aim of this project was to design a four-star hotel to cater to four-legged furry friends based on a cutting-edge design. After investigating the cultural identity of the location and surrounding vernacular I chose to base my design concept on a “concrete jungle” style by bringing more of the outside indoors. With the close study of the requirements for designing spaces for small-large dogs, I have managed to create Dublin’s first fully equipped dog hotel/ doggy day-care and adventure centre. I chose a monochromatic colour scheme with pops of yellows, greens and reds as I believe it was most suitable for the use of the spaces and the users. The hotel will be viewed by the public as more than just accommodation, but also a social venue for everyone with a contemporary restaurant, bar, juice bar, retail space and canine care services.
