Eastmoreland Couture
The aim of this project was to redesign an existing Victorian city center hotel into a couture fashion house. Having done intensive research into the building and its surrounding area located on the Grand Canal, I decided to link my concept to the existing shape and era of the building while taking into account the new use of the building - fashion. The use of colour, texture and pattern is a predominant feature within the building. All the materials I chose for the building are of the highest quality and even the smallest of details were taken into consideration. The spaces created were very much done so with the user in mind. The couture fashion house is open to the public with a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and spa, while on the upper levels there is studios, offices, a material library and photo shoot rooms. The style is unique, fun and eclectic—a great space for creatives to work within.
