FLUX - Learn to Be a Scientist
FLUX is a fun collaborative teaching aid with the aim of engaging students aged 10–13 in science and engineering. Using the FLUX and included Lab Book, students will learn to think like a scientist by using the Scientific Method to carry out interesting experiments!
The FLUX was designed to solve the problem of engaging students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) by creating a fun and exciting collaborative classroom experience. The properties of energy, sound, and materials are explored through Experiment Modules 1, 2 and 3. Additional Modules can be purchased in the future for more experiments.
When using the FLUX; the Lab Book guides students to question what will happen. Next, they make a Hypothesis about what will happen, carry out the experiment, examine the data, and finally discuss the results with classmates.
An additional feature of the FLUX is a Sound Recorder. This allows students to record sounds around the classroom and examine the output on the display.
The kit: includes the FLUX, three attachable Experiment Modules, two Lab Books & Teaching Resource booklet for educators.
