MediMinder

MediMinder is a smart medication management system for the home and a tool to enable patients to adhere to prescribed prescriptions as directed. It targets patients aged 18–60, giving them an alternative to the stigmatised monitored dosage systems currently supplied by pharmacies. MediMinder consists of a smart pill dispenser that is filled by a pharmacist and then programmed by the user via the system's app to conform to their individual regime. Containers illuminate when it’s time to take pills, guiding users to take the correct pill and the correct dosage. The app is designed to help monitor and remind users to take their medication while also providing a clear stream of communication with health care professionals by tracking a patient’s compliance, list of medication as well as a history of prescriptions etc. The ‘To-go’ feature allows one to take their medication subtly on the go, without raising questions from others. This user-friendly system is designed to take the frustration out of this common everyday problem and improve a user’s compliance and overall wellbeing.
