Phantom-Free

Phantom-Free uses a combination of Mirror Box Therapy and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to eliminate phantom limb pain in amputees. The mirror box is equipped with an extendable mirror to make it suitable for upper limb amputees as well as lower limb amputees. The product comes with a cushion insert that sits inside the mirror box, this is lined with a set of TENS Pads. An elasticated strap also lined with a set of TENS Pads is used to hold to residual limb on to the cushion. A TENS Unit is placed on the surface of the elasticated strap. The TENS Pads are controlled through an app that can change the intensity to suit the user. The app also contains video tutorials of sample exercises and an option to create a personalised routine to guide the individual step by step through the treatment.
