OTWO
Otwo is a remote, set and forget device. Once installed it needs no further interaction bar cleaning and maintenance for it to work. Otwo reads and records the pollutants that are carried in the air we breathe. These pollutants range from dust particles to harmful gases. In addition, Otwo reads levels of humidity and temperature. Once Otwo has gathered this data, it uploads it seamlessly to the cloud using SigFox communications systems. Servers compile the data where it is beamed via cellular technology to the mobile phones of consumers subscribed to the service.
On Otwo’s mobile app users can see air quality data in real time in their location and locations they plan to travel to, much like a weather app. Otwo’s integration with Google Maps shows air quality data in map format. Allowing them to alter commutes, travel plans and fitness regimes in search of fresh air.
On a wider scale, Otwo grants governments and health organisations the ability to understand air which can be so harmful to human life. It allows them to plan for a cleaner, healthier future. Building schools, hospitals and recreational facilities in ‘green zones’ or areas with low levels of pollution. Furthermore, it shows councils exactly where they need to operate to bring cities to a safe standard of air quality.
