Shredded Craft

My shredded craft Avoca window display is based on crafted weaving. I wanted to create a display which I would introduce and display textures and patterns joined together to become a larger prop. The influences are from WGSN trend forecast Kinship SS 2018. The crafted pieces represented colour and design. The piece holds tension to facilitate the interweaving of the fabric. The concept and focus of this window is to upcycle old fabric and to acculturate its beauty in an alternative creative structure. The main material is fabric and wool which I sourced at Avoca woollen Mills Wicklow. The bag prop displays different types of wool which Avoca use to make their famous throws and scarfs. When designing the window concept, I had to consider Avoca target customer and heritage to reflex its Irish organic style.
