Project 2: Yuline
Yuline is a series of light fixtures that are designed from the same components that allow for bigger and smaller installation pieces. Not only the series serves the function of light projection but captures and translates an interesting effect caused by light and water. It is a simple and sleek design suitable for any type of environment, bringing a different type of illumination.
The concept derives from this simple observation, where sunlight reflects in the motion of water. Projecting the movement through shapes and lines onto a nearby surface evoking a mesmerizing feeling as if being underwater. The challenge that formed this design was a question of how this effect can be translated and captured through a simple design, as well as creating this occurrence without the use of water.
