Emily

This project is a co-production between photographer Hannah Cosgrove and artist Emily Lannin that explores the disconnect which the pandemic has created between people and places. It focuses primarily on one subject, Emily, who is of Irish and Mexican heritage. It explores her sense of disconnection from Mexico and her family over there. The images capture feelings of longing, of being lost and the existence of the distance between her and Mexico. It also suggests the possibility of reconnecting with elements of Mexican culture and the joy around those moments of hope and connection.
