Accentus
The accentus system was developed to help with the prevention of stress fractures, the system uses a force sensor imbedded in an insole to measure the forces traveling through the user’s foot up into their leg. This information is then processed by the accentus app to allow for suggestions to be made in relation to the users running technique to allow them to push themselves to their limits while remaining within the limits of safety to avoid injury.
The app uses machine learning as well as individual body metrics inputted by the user to warn the user when sustained dangerous forces have been detected traveling through the user’s leg. This will allow the user to stop training and rest, avoiding on average twelve weeks of recovery time before a potential stress fracture would heal.
The accentus app also provides standard fitness app feature such as run time and distance tracing and logging as a secondary feature, this means that the user can train efficiently, consistently and safely.
