As a Dublin based painter, I find inspiration in reconfiguring images from memory and creating high-quality compositions. My work explores how our perceptions of the world around us are filtered through memory and experience. When I travel, I am particularly drawn to finding new subjects to paint. Whether it's a vibrant street scene or a quiet landscape, I try to capture the essence of a place through my art. I hope to evoke a sense of nostalgia in the viewer, inviting them to see the world through a new lens. 
 
My artistic process involves a deep engagement with my subject matter, and observe and absorb the world around me, seeking the unique colours, shapes, and textures that define a particular place. 

Overall, my goal as an artist is to create thought-provoking work that engages the viewer emotionally and intellectually. I believe art can transform how we see and experience the world, and I am committed to using my talent to contribute to this transformative process.

The Imaginative Possibilities of Urban Isolation

At the heart of my artistic pursuit lies a constant endeavour to capture the unique character and architectural moods of each location I explore. I aim to immerse myself in my surroundings, seeking to translate my experience onto canvas through the interplay of light and colour, evoking emotions that resonate with the viewer. In my artistic practice, colour is not just a visual tool but a means of expressing the depth and rhythm of light in a place, tangibly felt through my work. The marks on my canvas are a testament to the ongoingness of time and location, reflecting the transient nature of our surroundings. 
 
Through this painting collection, the solitary stroll has fuelled the ideas for the compositions. I delve into the unnoticed beauty of well-travelled paths. Each painting captures a tranquil and introspective atmosphere inspired by urban environments with subdued human presence. I explore the beauty of the overlooked and the transformative power of art. 
 
In my composition, a specific place's character is interpreted by me. I take little moments and put them together to create a complete picture. Through my encounters with each setting, I aim to unearth a rhythm of mark and colour that elevates what I observe through abstract or representational art, two-dimensional or free form. 
 
Each piece of art serves as a portal to a location where the viewer can imagine the scent of the air, experience the colours, and feel the energy or calm of the locale. My paintings offer a unique perspective on the cityscapes that deeply move me, bringing to life my visions through the transformative power of art.
