Irish vernacular material, rituals and customs
For this project I wanted to create interior accessories influenced by Irish vernacular material using materials such as linen and wool, while also incorporating Irish myths, rituals, and customs. The lighting project was inspired by the warmth and glow of the fire in the home. I wanted to create a soft sacred piece for a table. I used linen wool, weaving it between the raw organically bent steel, wrapped in a gentle glow of fairy lights and tealights situated in the base of the piece.
