Cian Whelan is in his final year of the BA (Hons) in Drama (Performance) at TU Dublin Conservatoire, graduating in 2025.
His recent stage credits include the title role in King Lear (Dir: Ciara Murphy), Boneparte in Guests of the Nation (Dir: Darragh Humphries), Stuart/Owen in katzenmusik by Tom Fowler (Dir: Charlotte Tiernan), Lucifer in Fallen Angels (Dir: Shannon McCormack), and roles in Second Person Narrative (Dir: Andrea Basquille) and A Day in May (Dir: Veronica Coburn).
On screen, he has appeared in This is Not Gospel (Dir: Vinny Murphy) and Moonshine (Dir: Marko Rudri).
Cian is trained in unarmed stage combat (IDCA certified) and has also studied rapier & dagger. He has movement training with Ella Clarke and vocal training with Toni Walsh, Derval O’Sullivan, and Steve Wallace. His voice type is baritone.
He also has experience in writing, directing, facilitation, and a wide range of sporting activities.
