Claragh Mc Dermott is in her final year of the BA (Hons) in Drama (Performance) at TU Dublin Conservatoire, graduating in 2025.
Her recent stage credits include A Day in May (Dir: Veronica Coburn), Second Person Narrative by Jemma Kennedy, in which she played You/Friend (Dir: Andrea Basquille), and katzenmusik by Tom Fowler, playing Jamie (Dir: Charlotte Tiernan). Prior to her time at TU Dublin, she performed as Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins (Dirs: Mary McArdle and Joanne Brennan), The Acrobat in Matilda (Dir: Mairead Cassidy), and Clara in A Christmas Carol (Dir: Krista Hamilton).
On screen, she appeared in This Is Not Gospel, a short film directed by Vinny Murphy.
Claragh holds IDCA certification in unarmed stage combat and has also trained in rapier & dagger. She has movement training with Ella Clarke, and vocal training in both soprano and mezzo-soprano ranges. She has a strong foundation in music theory and has completed Grade V piano with the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Additional training includes Commedia dell’Arte, Laban, and drama facilitation. She has a particular interest in inclusive theatre practice, especially working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Other skills include yoga, pilates, spoken word, and poetry.
