I am originally from Drogheda, Co. Louth and now live in Dublin. I first fell in love with storytelling through visual images as a young child. That love has grown in particular towards narrative construction and editing. I am passionate about bringing stories to life – as I am specialising in Documentary filmmaking, editing is paramount to a true story becoming an engaging one. The three documentaries I have worked on as editor have taught me this and more. I have also had the opportunity to study Documentary while on erasmus in Denmark, at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. This once in a lifetime experience gave me the confidence to see myself as a director. I have also had privilege of being selected for DOX:ACADEMY at the Copenhagen Documentary Film Festival earlier this year. This intensive course expanded what I thought to be possible through documentary filmmaking. I will always be indebted to TUDublin and my lecturers for providing me the support and knowledge to develop as both a person and a filmmaker.
