Killian Tinsley

Hi, my name is Killian Tinsley, over the past four years I have developed an interest in the camera department and especially in being a camera operator. Through the different film sets my approach to the role has become very focused on the different techniques and opportunities that the camera offers. This last year, however, I have been driven to master the Steadicam rig which allows for more movement and tracking shots that otherwise would be very difficult to execute in a smooth way. I still have a long way to go to become a good camera operator, but that world fascinates me and I am convinced that standing still is not something that I can do, so until then, I will work hard to make sure to train in that specific sector of the film industry.

Over the past two years I had the opportunity to work on different film sets in Italy (where I am originally from), from indie sets to big commercials occupying different roles, such as runner, camera assistant and production assistant; and seeing how the real world works, although being a scary environment as a new-comer, is not only a thrilling but addictive experience. Lastly, I had never picked up a camera before starting this course, but since that first day I cannot imagine myself doing anything else.
