My name is Laura Tucker. I am a graduating Film and Broadcasting student specialising in Documentary Production. I have found a love for sharing people's stories and have been able to grow and expand my skills in filmmaking at TU Dublin over the past four years. In these years, I have undertaken numerous roles in our productions, such as director, producer, sound operator, editor, and post-sound editor.
I enjoyed producing and directing, enhancing my organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills, and understanding the importance of protecting and being fair to interviewees when creating non-fiction content. I am proud to share that the drama The Sisterhood, which I was lucky to produce, received an honourable mention in First Frames at the Dublin International Film Festival.
I found a real passion for Editing. Cutting the footage together, finding the rhythm, and working with the director and producer to tell the story. I hope to have a career in Editing in the future.
I am grateful for the talented classmates I have spent the last four years with. I look forward to what is next and am excited to continue developing my skills within the industry.
