In 2023, the Irish football team qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time. This coincided with the 50th anniversary of the first game played by the Irish women’s national team in 1973. This documentary explores the history of women’s football in Ireland from the perspective of Linda Gorman, a former player on the first national team. It takes a look at Linda’s journey through football: the attitudes that women faced at the time, the hurdles women faced to play for their country, and their determination to keep going.
