Clive Casey

My name is Clive Casey. I am a multidisciplinary artist currently working across video, photography, audio, and sculptural installation. My practice is rooted in the belief that all things are conscious, interconnected, and that the earth holds a profound capacity for healing. Drawing from my local landscapes, I create immersive audio-visual installations using organic and found materials, forming layered environments that bring together moving image, sound, and sculptural elements.

My current focus is on constructing meditative spaces that invite stillness, reflection, and reconnection. By grounding the viewer in elemental textures and sensory experiences, I aim to encourage a deeper awareness of both self and environment. My installations seek to create quiet, restorative encounters that support emotional and spiritual healing through an embodied relationship with the land. I see my practice as a meeting point between ecology, perception, and inner awareness, offering spaces for pause, presence, and renewal.

Mo Mháthair

An immersive installation comprised of a projected video installation of a bog environment, overlayed with field recordings, mixed with traditional musical instruments. These elements bring the viewer to a direct sensory and psychological encounter with a natural bog landscape. The projection of bog landscape imagery unfolds in real time, accompanied by an audio field composed of natural sounds, overlaid with low audio tones and traditional drum sounds invoking ancestral calls to a liminal audio terrain.

The multimedia installation inhabits the physical space through the presence of layered bog materials and found objects., borrowed from the land. This approach collapses the distance between representation and reality, encouraging the viewer to enter, feel and become situated within the environment. An invitation to slow the breath. The work engages with the bog as a metaphor for cyclical existence. It invites contemplation on one's own position within broader ecological and existential processes.
