I’ve been playing video games for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a kid, I had an interest in programming. Whether that be using Scratch, or attending coding classes, programming and gaming have always just been something I’ve been surrounded by.
I was part of the sound team in the Desk Rage game “Forbidden”, and I was sound lead in our final year project, “Blank Construct”.
I enjoy programming the behind-the-scenes aspects of games, e.g. I programmed a level builder script for the final year game. In addition to this, I greatly enjoy implementing sounds into games, using FMOD to set up sounds, editing parameters, etc. I believe great sound is vitally important to games, and in combination with other effects, such as screen shake, can vastly improve the feel of a game, and in turn, the player experience.
My favourite genres of game are RPGs, shooters, beat-‘em-ups and roguelites, in no particular order.
