I’m Kim, a 23-year-old student with an interest in game design and all things creative. In my free time, I enjoy gaming, drawing, crocheting and working on artsy projects. I’m working on building my skills and exploring how creative ideas can be brought into games.
Group / Individual Project title and your role: We are Snake Tale Studio, and our game name is ‘Don’t Blink’. My role was 3D, Texture and UI artist.
Don’t Blink is a low-poly horror/ simulation game which follows a young woman struggling with insomnia at her retail job, which she hates. As she works, she fights to keep her eyes open while doing her daily tasks like cleaning floors and sorting stock. Then at night, she is dragged into a dark, twisted version of the store she knows, desperately searching for an escape. During the day, the player completes tasks while trying to stay awake by pressing the correct button when prompted. At night, the player enters the Nightmare Realm, where the layout of the store changes and their new objective is to escape. By completing a series of puzzles the player can then escape.
