Hotel Forma

For my Design Thesis Project, I transformed 2 Grand Parade in Ranelagh, Dublin, into a modernist hotel influenced by the architectural styles of Brutalism and the guiding principles of Bauhaus. The existing office building provided a blank canvas, enhanced by generous natural light throughout the space. My aim was to repurpose it into a contemporary hotel that celebrated modernist ideals—using bold structural forms to shape open, varied spaces. The design is grounded in a warm, earthy palette and features a thoughtful mix of soft and hard materials to evoke the raw honesty of Brutalism and the functional clarity of Bauhaus. This project pushed me creatively, encouraging the use of vibrant color, expressive structure, and a deeper engagement with commercial design.
