The Kinaestech Haptic Archer 01 is an innovative archery form training system. Using active monitoring and vibration-based haptic feedback on key points of the body, the user is guided into a better form for archery. By making these small corrections, the user builds better body awareness, achieving better consistency and performance, and avoids building bad habits which they will later have to unlearn.
The system consists of a number of wearable components – sleeves for the arms and legs, straps, and a vest – which are designed to hold 12 haptic feedback devices in place. A depth-based visual tracking system reads the positioning of the user and compares it to an ideal image in real-time. This information is communicated to the user via a variable vibration pattern emitted from each device, allowing them to make corrections to their form in real-time.
