This is the BalanceTech. The BalanceTech is a smart balance board designed for the age group of 50-60 years old. A person’s balance begins to decline at the age of 50, and the goal of this product is to encourage this age group to start working on their balancing skills, therefore, reducing the chance of a serious fall when they are in their elderly years.
A built-in accelerometer collects data and motion from the user and transfers that data onto a graph. This graph is used to illustrate the metrics of the user’s balancing motions. This graph can be logged into a progress tracker where the user can analyse their improvements over time.
As a safety feature, The BalanceTech is fitted with safety railings around the perimeter of the individual if they need an extra hand at stabilizing themselves, and to also aid them stepping onto the balance board itself.
