Alarm Ella is a protection device designed for woman with women’s struggles and needs at tbe core of its development. The device is target towards three main customer segments, retail workers, college students, and college campuses with on campus accommodation.
This device features a GPS location-sharing feature so that the users' synced contacts are notified if the user is in potential danger. In addition, Alarm Ella functions similarly to a torch, enabling the user to light their way to and from their destinations as a major point of concern was the lack of safe lighting and infrastructure available during commutes alone. As well as the GPS and LED light Alarm Ella is also an alarm, sporting a 130DB panic alarm that is activated by pulling out the alarm plug, gaining the attention of passer-byers.
Alarm Ella will provide its users with legal, non-intrusive, effective methods of protection for the women in Ireland.
