Astronomia

Astronomia is a large format publication which explores the development of Western astrology, alongside the simultaneous astronomical advances. The publication features a large fold out circular timeline, alongside a series of photo cards which align with segments of the timeline. This project was developed through continuous historical research which influenced the outcome of the piece.

The Collector

The Collector is a three-part exhibition which explores the value of personal collections in evoking both personal and cultural memories of life in Ireland. Through personal narratives, it seeks to express the multifaceted role of print ephemera in preserving and shaping individual recollections of Irish culture and Irish rites of passage.
The project focuses on ten objects from my personal collection, part one recalls my personal recollection of the acquisition of the object in a publication format, part two explores the wider cultural narratives which arise from these objects in a larger publication, and the final part is comprised of an audio-visual piece which merges part one and two together in a video format.
