Visual Merchandising

Rebecca Ferris

My name is Rebecca; I am a passionate Visual Merchandising graduate with a strong focus on creative direction and fashion styling. Throughout my studies, I developed a solid foundation in visual storytelling, set design, prop sourcing, and digital tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp. I’m drawn to crafting visuals that not only look beautiful but also communicate a clear and cohesive brand message. During my work placement with art director Eleanor Harpur and photographer Trevor Hart, I contributed to a range of creative projects, gaining valuable insight into styling, brand-image alignment, and marketing strategy. Their mentorship deepened my understanding of how thoughtful visuals can elevate a brand’s presence. I thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and love helping brands express their identity through curated visuals and styling. As I graduate, I’m excited to bring fresh perspective, creativity, and a strong visual eye to the fashion and creative industries.

Beyond The Lens

Beyond The Lens / Trevor Hart Studios; Landa Bags. For my major project I directed and styled an editorial. This editorial concept explores the fusion of high-end fashion photography and AI-generated environments, showcasing LANDA’s statement bags as symbols of craftsmanship amidst hypermodern, digitally created settings. Shot in a studio but designed to evoke expansive outdoor scenes, the project challenges perceptions of authenticity in contemporary fashion imagery. By blending traditional photography techniques with cutting-edge AI aesthetics, this project highlights the evolving role of generative AI in visual culture, celebrating the collaboration between human creativity and machine-generated innovation while questioning the boundaries of reality and digital artistry. On the cover of the lookbook of images there is a QR code, when scanned it invites customers to come ‘beyond the lens’ and see the BTS.
