Arianna Carroll
Aurora
The Aurora, a personal safety alarm that is permanently attached to the user's phone. The device reaches 130dB, which will alarm and distract the attacker and alert bystanders. When turned on, it will be automatically connected to the user's phone via Bluetooth and can share the user's location with their contacts. When the device is set off, using the push button, the user's phone will automatically alert their contacts, which are previously added when they set up their account. It will also contact the Aurora call centre, which will attempt to call the user. If they do not answer, the call centre will alert the local authorities and share the user's location. This will enable help to come to the user more efficiently.
