Project 2: ISTD – Forager’s Journal

This project was created for the typographic assessment called ISTD. The topic that I picked was Biophilia, which in other words mean “an innate affinity of human beings with the natural world.” I have decided to focus on the topic of foraging. The book I created is double-sided. One side is called “forager’s journal” and the second side is “forager’s cookbook.” On the first side we can find interviews with my family members about the topic of foraging and a bullet journal, where the reader can leave his/her own notes about foraged goods. On the opposite side we can find known recipes with the use of foraged mushrooms or berries, we also have quick information about the types of mushroom and berries and foraging law. In the middle of the book, we can find a map of my hometown which showcases the green area where the berries and mushroom can be collected. The book is hand-stitched with the Coptic stitching.
