GradX Drama (Performance)

Izaak Bannister

I’m a recent graduate of the TU962 BA in Drama Performance course. I have acted in productions such as Alice in Funderland directed by Andrea Basquille, and The Devil May Cares, directed by Louise Lowe. I am passionate about the creation and promotion of new work in theatre, hence why I have set up my own production company; BANN Productions, which has helped produce shows for debut theatre companies and writers. For the last three years I have also been part of the producing and writing team for Project 962, which brings together all three years of the TU962 course to create a brand new show each year.

Along with theatre, I am also a Leinster Rugby Referee, currently on development panel for season 20206/27. I employ a similar ethos and philosophy for my refereeing as with my producing, one of fairness and integrity, along with the desire to facilitate greatness. Some of my highlights include refereeing the 2024 Anne Fitzpatrick Cup Final, Metro 8 Final 2024/25, and the U18 Premier Final 2025/26.

As well as this, I also work with Special Hands Activity Group Athboy as an acting and vocal coach for a group of adults with intellectual disabilities for their yearly panto. My duties also include sound designer and operator for their shows. Since joining in 2024, I have been tasked to bring the panto group to a new level, in their performing and in production quality.
