Hi, my name is Carla Quinlan, and I am a graduating Film and Broadcasting student. Through my time at TU Dublin, I have developed a strong, growing passion for filmmaking. Over the years, I have worked diligently on both theoretical and practical projects. I apply myself to fiction and non-fiction projects and have thoroughly enjoyed the audio-visual medium that film provides. In these productions, my crew roles have varied. Within the last couple of years, I have found myself gravitating towards the directing and editing aspects of filmmaking. I have enjoyed collaborating with my peers and bringing creative visions to life. In the directing role, I have learned about the lead ership qualities that support the collaborative process of film on all sides of production. As an editor, I have worked closely with directors in the creation of the final film. Additionally, I have learned the importance of patience and compromise as the film goes from a rough sequence of shots to a well-paced piece of cinema. I look forward to learning even more skills through the makings of future films.
