Over my 4 years at TU Dublin, I had the chance to try different film roles like camera operator and sound recordist. However, I found post- production/editing to be where my passion lies. It’s both a creative and precise role, a mix I thoroughly enjoy and would like to follow on with in my career. I edited two documentaries in final year (Mind the Box which was selected for DIFF First Frame and Invisible Legacy) as well as others previously. Collaborating and building relationships with talented directors/crew and helping bring a vision into reality was extremely gratifying. I also helped found and run TUD’s Radio Society, which was rewarding for similar reasons. I gained technical knowledge and got to give people a platform to share something they were passionate about.
