Hi, I’m Lauren! Returning to education as a mature student has been challenging but incredibly rewarding and completing this course has only strengthened my passion for video game development. I thrive on bouncing ideas around with others and bringing those ideas to life. During my studies, I’ve worked on projects that have received professional recognition. Tightrope won Best Student Game at the 2026 Irish Game Awards, and Folamh was selected for exhibition at Aalto University in Helsinki. I also designed and produced BattleClaws with a small team for the Nintendo Switch, showcased at Ireland’s biggest conventions, including Dublin Comic Con, GamerFest, and the Irish Gaming Market. These events have been a great way to connect with players and the wider industry. Since January 2026, I’ve served on the board of directors for IMIRT, the Irish Game Makers Association, contributing to the growth of Ireland’s games development community. I’m now excited to begin my career in game design, bringing both practical production experience and a genuine passion for creating games that leave a lasting impression.
