Helen O’Brien, a graduate of Interior and Furniture Design from Technological University Dublin. My interest in interiors began at a young age, driven by a curiosity for how spaces can be shaped and transformed. A lover of all things bold and vibrant, with a particular focus on colour, contrast, and materiality, my work explores how these elements influence atmosphere and experience, creating spaces that feel both expressive and carefully resolved. Through a thoughtful and exploratory approach, I develop design solutions that respond to both the needs of the user and the character of the space.
Chromatic Living
Chromatic Living explores the relationship between colour, atmosphere, and emotional wellbeing through adaptable furniture design. Through rotating and reversible elements, each piece shifts between two contrasting finishes, a bold, vibrant surface and a more natural birch finish, allowing users to control the visual energy of their environment depending on their mood or the atmosphere they want to create.
