I’m Daniella Okiwe, an Interior Design graduate with an intense love for design and anything creative. I’ve loved interior design since I was young, and I’m a passionate person and often find myself falling in love with new creative hobbies, whether it’s sewing, cooking, writing, or designing, and I frequently lose myself in a book. I’m highly enthusiastic about Interior Design and driven to create captivating spaces that tell a story and harmonise with their inhabitants. I love the process of creating an interior and all the quiet work that is needed to reach the final design resolution, the process of carefully unwinding and deconstructing small elements, step by step, to create a bigger, final interior.
For me, interior design is a way to release all my creative thoughts and ideas and watch them come together beautifully in a physical space, transforming a simple thought into a reality not only just I can see and experience, but others too.
Nexus Residences
This project is a student residential block that will foster connections between both the building and the surrounding community, with the adjacent area, owned by the town, being redesigned as a new park. It will be rustic and cosy, with multifunctional use. An apartment-style residence for college students with both recreational and functional uses, situated in a vibrant area with easy access to public transportation; students can conveniently commute to their universities and other essential amenities.
A multi – floor library equipped with quiet study lounges and pods, comfortable dormitory spaces that promote community and privacy, as well as a homey rustic breakfast bar, a well-equipped fitness center, and a multitude of communal areassuch as student hubs to encourage social interaction and well-being among residents, make Nexus a sought-after and vibrant student living destination, an inclusive residential block that both fosters student comfort as well as academic success.
