GradX Interior and Furniture Design

Holly Heverin

I am a recent graduate of Interior Design from TU Dublin. My approach to design is rooted in a strong awareness of atmosphere, and the impact space has on how people feel, move, and connect. My academic journey has taken me beyond Ireland, including a semester exchange at Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore and earlier studies in France during my time at College Dhúlaigh. These international experiences have shaped a design perspective that is globally informed, detail-focused, and driven by creating immersive, narrative-led spaces.

KŌEN

KŌEN, meaning 紅炎, crimson flame, is a private members club set within the Wren Urban Nest Hotel on St Andrew's Lane, Dublin. Spanning nine levels, the venue offers members an unmatched sequence of experiences: a basement casino, reception lounge, co-working library, two-floor Michelin star restaurant, and club and bar spaces above. The concept draws on the building's history as a printing works and subesquently, Andrew’s Lane Theatre, channelling that legacy of performance and production into an interior that is bold, sensory, and theatrical. Deep crimson lacquer, amber onyx, burnished brass, and dark basalt form a palette that is rich without being excessive, while sculpted flame detailing and warm timber screens create atmosphere at every turn. Lighting is used as a design material in itself, shifting mood from intimate to electric across each floor.
