My name is Raghnaid Fagan. I’m a Furniture and Interior Design graduate with a passion for prescriptive design that supports the narrative of a space and strong, clean forms. Sharp and focused, both in the design process and in the final product. Working between software with cad, photoshop and 3d modeling; as well as more traditional methods of working with technical drawing, watercolour, and model making. My work takes a look at a return to structure within space that has been lost in the transition to open plan living. Supporting flexibility within structure, while providing a solid framework to build spaces around.
Anchoring Frames
Anchoring Frames is an interior wall panelling solution that aims to provide a modular and adaptable solution to the lack of structure within open plan space. Taking inspiration from the quasi-modular nature of features such as skirting boards, wall panelling, and architraves; to design a room framing system that provides anchor points for furniture within a space, and an implied layout to an open plan space without being as rigid as walls. Bringing about a reintroduction of structured design to an area without creating structural separation.
