Vlada Bulat

Hi, my name is Vlada. I am a final year Product Design student at TU Dublin, with a strong interest in creating meaningful, user centred solutions. I am passionate about all things creative, from design, to dancing, craftsmanship and cinema, and this shapes how I think and work as a designer.

My approach is grounded in research, combining user insights with clear decision making to develop thoughtful and practical outcomes. I am particularly drawn to accessibility and healthcare, where design can have a real impact on people’s independence and everyday lives. I enjoy working across the full design process, from concept development to prototyping and technical resolution, with the aim of creating designs that are intuitive, empathetic and impactful.

Ealín

Parenthood is often defined by small everyday moments such as going for a walk or simply moving through the world together. For many parents who use wheelchairs, these moments are not always accessible and are often met with compromise or reliance on others.
This project introduces Ealín, an adaptive pram system designed to restore independence and connection. The name comes from the Irish word for a young swan, symbolising care, protection and closeness between parent and child.
Ealín integrates with a wheelchair, allowing parents to move safely and intuitively while maintaining control and visibility. Rather than adapting existing products, it rethinks the interaction from the ground up, responding to real physical and emotional needs.

At its core, Ealín supports shared experiences, independence and dignity, showing how inclusive design can create more equal and meaningful everyday moments.
