Hi, my name is Kris, and I am a highly motivated Product Design student with strong hands-on experience in CAD, prototyping, and design-to-manufacture processes. My interest in design began in childhood, working in my grandfather’s woodcraft workshop and later exploring metalwork alongside my dad. These early experiences sparked a curiosity for making and problem-solving that I have continued to develop through years of experimentation, art workshops, and formal design education.
Outside of design, I am passionate about outdoor sports such as rock climbing and mountain biking, which fuel my appreciation for resilience, precision, and performance-driven solutions. I am particularly driven to design products that create real impact and meaningfully improve people’s lives. With experience in precision production environments and collaborative projects, I am motivated, adaptable, and always eager to learn and grow within creative and future-focused teams.
SPIROO is a modular diagnostic system designed to improve the early detection and understanding of sleep apnoea. The project addresses key issues within current healthcare pathways, including limited accessibility, fragmented diagnosis, and reliance on intrusive assessment methods. At its core, SPIROO introduces a comfortable, wearable nose strip that captures essential respiratory data during sleep, forming the foundation of a scalable and non-invasive monitoring system. Additional modules can be integrated to expand diagnostic capabilities based on individual needs.
The system is supported by a digital interface that translates complex data into clear, actionable insights for both patients and clinicians. By prioritising comfort, accessibility, and clarity, SPIROO aims to shift sleep apnoea diagnosis from a reactive, clinic-based process to a proactive and user-centred experience, enabling earlier intervention and more effective communication across healthcare domains.
