I’m Zuzanna, a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for editorial design and print. My practice focuses on creating evocative imagery by experimenting with a range of mediums, from digital processes to hands-on techniques. Through my work, I aim to balance concepts and aesthetics, using design as a tool to communicate ideas in a clear yet visually engaging way.
This project explores the quiet significance of objects we keep after travelling or holidays without a clear practical reason: magnets, postcards, rocks, shells, tickets, and other small remnants of that moment. Often dismissed as useless; these items are casually collected or given by friends and family, accumulating subtle markers of identity. Through a digital platform and exhibition, the work gathers and recontextualises these objects as a collective archive of the incidental. It considers how meaning forms not through intention, but through habit, memory, and attachment. Revealing how even the most insignificant things come to shape a sense of self.
This project explores the growing issue of unhealthy social media use, focusing on habits like doomscrolling and “zombie scrolling” that contribute to excessive screen time and reduced wellbeing. While acknowledging the benefits of social media, such as connection and information sharing, it aims to encourage a more mindful, balanced relationship with these platforms. The publication, titled Touch Grass, responds to the addictive nature of scrolling by shifting the user experience from digital to print.
The project consists of two complementary books: Touch Grass and Touch Grass Glossary. Designed to mimic the physical scale of a tablet and phone, they subvert digital conventions through tactile interaction. The main book presents essays and imagery that examine both positive and negative aspects of social media, encouraging critical thinking. The glossary offers playful, overstimulating typography to reflect online environments while requiring page-turning to counter scrolling habits. Together, they reframe digital behaviours and promote healthier engagement.
