GradX Visual Merchandising

Cameron Somers

My name is Cameron Somers, and I am a Visual Merchandising graduate with a strong passion for blending art and fashion to create engaging and expressive visual experiences. I have always been drawn to the creative intersection where design, styling, and storytelling come together, and my studies have allowed me to explore this interest in a meaningful and practical way. I am excited to continue developing my skills and exploring new opportunities within the fashion world to build a career that reflects both my creativity and my passion.

Threads

Threads is a TU Dublin final-year Visual Merchandising pop-up shop that brings together sustainability and design through the lens of fashion. By focusing on craftsmanship and layered styling, it creates an interactive space where second-hand garments are showcased as pieces of art as well as fashion.

Retail design

This project reimagines a retail space on Dublin's Grafton Street as a concept store for Alexander McQueen. I have a strong passion for retail design, particularly in how it intersects with fashion. This project allowed me to explore how interior spaces can express a brand’s identity and create a more immersive and engaging customer experience.
