Hyper Geos
My display is inspired by the WGSN trend Full Spectrum which features offbeat designs and bold patterns. Contrasting elements are a recurring theme in this trend, and they are combined in fun and spontaneous ways. As I dived into this trend I found a sub-trend that really captured my fun personality and love for colour. Polka dots and checks are given a maximalist overhaul in supersized proportions and bright accents in this sub-trend which inspired my design as it transports you into this explosion of polka dots and checkerboard prints almost playing an homage to the Memphis art movement as it has a similar style. In order to contrast this I styled my mannequins in fun and exciting party wear looks, They stood out amongst all the patterns going on in my display and also complimented it really well. The hope I have for my design is that it brings joy to those that see it.
