GradX Game Design

Finnán Breathnach

Hi my name is Finnán Breathnach. I’ve been studying game design at TUD for the past four years. I have always loved games. During my transition year of secondary school, we had a free class where we were allowed to learn a skill over the internet. Because of my love for games, I chose to use these classes to make my way though the tutorials on the Unity Learn website and fell in love with not just playing games but making games as well. From then on, I knew that Game Design was what I wanted to do. Throughout my time here ate TUD I have mostly focused on the coding and design aspect of game design whether in a group or working on a solo project. Solo projects would never go beyond simple shapes like cubes while in group projects I would stick with what I knew, like year when I acted as main minigame coder on the game “Heal the Seal”. This year I wanted to challenge myself with a solo project that would incorporate all aspect of the course taught to us, from code to 2D art, to 3d models and animation. It’s all come together to create my game “A Knight’s Quest”
