I am a final year Interior Design student at TU Dublin. I am hard-working, set high standards for myself, and work well on my own and as part of a team. I have always had a strong passion for interior design, and love to create thoughtful, functional spaces that are both visually engaging and meaningful to those who use them. I am particularly interested in how design can shape atmosphere and experience, balancing aesthetics with purpose.
Alongside my studies, I completed a summer internship at TOT Architects and have continued working there part-time during my final year. This experience has allowed me to develop strong practical skills and gain valuable insight into professional practice, from concept development through to execution. I am driven to design spaces that not only look beautiful but also connect with people and enhance everyday life.
The Sidings
My thesis project reimagines the Sidings Building at Grand Canal Dock as a co-living inspired residential development, transforming a vacant ten-storey office building into a vibrant, community-focused living environment. The design prioritizes connection and shared experience through a range of amenities, including a café, gym, library, co-working space, residents’ bar, and multiple informal social areas throughout.
A three-storey winter garden introduces natural elements into the building, enhancing wellbeing and spatial quality. Private studio apartments are complemented by shared facilities on each floor, including a cinema room, communal kitchen, and living space.
The design concept draws on the flowing curvature of nearby bridges, while the colour palette, consisting of deep reds, oranges, and blue, is inspired by the historic Hoffman Kiln discovered on site. A balance of natural materials such as wood and concrete is softened through layered textiles and finishes.
