GradX Visual Merchandising

Heather Devine

Hi, I’m Heather Devine, a final year student at TUD studying Visual Merchandising. Over the past few years, I’ve really grown to love everything about visual merchandising and styling, and it’s something I want to pursue after college. I’m especially interested in going into styling or buying, but I’m open to seeing where things take me. Right now, I’m just excited to finish up, try new things, and figure out what path suits me best.

Freeze The moment

Freeze the Moment captures the feeling of an Ibiza sunset, where music, movement, and being present all come together. Inspired by a WGSN trend, the Ibiza outfit along with the bold style of Ibiza and beach culture, the installation expresses a sense of freedom through styling and a warm sunset-orange color palette. It reflects the experience of dancing at golden hour, fully caught up in the moment. Based on my interest in visual merchandising, storytelling, and fashion styling, the piece also explores kinetic art, using flowing elements to create a sense of movement and rhythm without sound. This helps bring the display to life, making each part feel connected and full of energy.

As I finish my college journey, Freeze the Moment acts as both a celebration and a reflection, encouraging people to slow down and enjoy the present.

Ance Studios Flagship Store Window

For my fashion and branding project, I took on the role of a creative director to design a window display concept for the flagship store of Acne Studios. Through researching the brands’ identity, retail spaces, and runway collections, I developed a concept that reflected the minimal yet artistic esthetic that Acne Studios is known for. I was particularly inspired by the brand's signature Acne pink, which was a key feature on the display. Acne Studios often blends art and fashion within its store's interiors and campaigns, so I wanted to reflect this through the use of sculptural forms. These sphere shapes helped create a balance between minimalism and visual impact. The overall concept was influenced by the Acne Studios Spring/Summer 2026 runway show, which guided my color palette, textures, and mood of my project, combining fashion, branding, and visual merchandising.
