Made Up Face, Make Up Face
My main aim is to show one's identity through the art of cosmetics as well as what exists underneath the makeup, both physically and emotionally. Who is this person and how do they feel both with and without makeup on? Does it boost your confidence when wearing a nice new foundation or lipstick? How do you feel when you have just made some new purchases from makeup counters at your local department store? Does it make you happy?
I feel that makeup has not only become a hobby over the years but also a comfortable familiarity that I have come to depend on, whether it is looking up video reviews on new products, purchasing new items and trying them out or attempting to create exciting new looks.
I find the application routine itself quite interesting and wanted to capture my own everyday routine along with other similar footage through video and photography.
