Transducer
A thing that converts energy from one form to another. 'Transducer' is a multimedia series that consists of biometric and hybrid forms. These new forms are a combination of natural creatures, organic life and the faux architecture that aided my research in Dublin Zoo. It presents a variety of sculptures made for animals. These objects have the capability to survive in different environments for long periods of time. Each of the things I made informed the next thing which allowed them to evolve into a mutant version of the last. These new weedy species have the potential to propagate and become. I explore notions of the connections between things- humans, animals and technology.
