‘No Playground’ is a sound collage and radio transmission exploring the lives of Citizens and non Citizens in todays Ireland, an audio interrogation of the reality of refugees and asylum seekers trapped in the limbo of the Direct provision system. Word, Sound and Power combine with the sampling and cut up techniques of musique concrete, dub reggae, DIY punk and hip hop to tell stories of the human experience in an age of humanitarian crisis. Echoes of past and current events are rearranged and reconnected. We hear, but are we listening?
