Truth
The aim of this project is to investigate the notion of world building in Transmedia storytelling. Building worlds has given writers and designers an expanded dimension in which to engage readers and viewers. Beyond telling compelling stories that engage readers audiences through empathy for characters embedded in the storyline, good world building represents evocative context that draw us into a coherent world where things just happen differently.
It is the way things happen differently and is the way we participate in imagining how and why they happen this way that gives new meaning to the experience. Much more than just a setting for a story world, building creates a context that the stories come to inhabit. Through concept art, digital painting and other skills I have learned while undertaking the Visual Communications higher degree course, my exhibition represents environments and characters as well as the worlds that they inhabit.
